YOUNG SINGERS WORKSHOP Join professional singer/ songwriter and workshop leader Abi Moore for a day of group singing. WHERE? Harlaxton Village Hall, Church Street, Harlaxton, Grantham, NG32 1HB. WHEN? Thursday 14th April. 10am - 1pm for 8- 11 year olds (show at 12.30pm). 2pm – 5pm for 12- 16 year olds (show at 4.30pm). WHAT? A day of fun, friendly and informal singing for young people. We will be trying pop, gospel, musical theatre and world music songs. The workshop will incorporate healthy singing with fun warm ups and exercises to help improve breathing, tone, projection and listening skills. There will be an introduction to harmony and singing in parts, especially for the older group. HOW MUCH? £10 per person for the whole three hours. WHAT TO BRING? Just yourself and a drink or snack for break times, although refreshments will be provided. Wear something comfortable you can move around in! WHAT NEXT? This is a taster for what will hopefully become a regular weekly young choir. There needs to be a minimum of 8 participants per group for the workshops to go ahead.
